Little Cowboy Quilt

This little quilt was made using fat quarters and some yardage I had left over from other quilts.  I like to buy fat quarters of western fabrics when I see them that would be suitable for a small child.  Sometimes it is hard to  pick out little boy fabrics and all little boys like cowboys.

A simple quilt, just cut as many 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles as needed.  Because my quilts go to the wee ones in the hospital, it is only 36" x 42"; a larger  45" x 54" would require 9 fat quarters.  The pattern is from the booklet The Giving Quilt.

Didn't have backing so will have to finish next week.  I guess that means another trip to the quilt shop, hope I don't get in trouble there with all the new spring fabrics.

Enjoy all the pieces of your life,

  1. Cute little quilt! Have fun shopping! I haven't been to a quilt shop in ages. That's a good thing really! LOL

  2. Adorable! I love to buy cowboy prints for little boys, especially fat quarters. I don't know why, but I have a weakness for western prints. Thanks for sharing, I love it!
